Sick leave

You may be given a sick leave if you are unable to do your job because of depression. If your employment conditions are subject to the Government Social Insurance System or Social Security System, you will receive full pay during your sick leave.

Sec. 14 of RA 8282(Social Security Act of 1997), provides for the SICKNESS benefit of people employed in the private sector, while RA 8291 (The Government Seervice and Insurance System Act of 1997) only provides for permanent total disability benefits and temporary total disability benefits for government employees.
